Ouka Leele

Su necesidad de pintar, la empuja hacia la fusión de pintura y fotografía, desarrollando así ese lenguaje personalísimo, mezcla de escenografía teatral para ser fotografiada y pintura. En contacto con otros artistas, decide abandonar la idea de estudiar la carrera de Bellas Artes y avanzar en su búsqueda artística de manera autodidacta.

Artista polifacética, asumió durante su carrera constantes retos para sus creaciones, utilizando recursos de todas las disciplinas artísticas como la pintura, el dibujo, la fotografía, la escenografía, el perfomance, el cine y el video, e incluso literarias, como la poesía y el relato. Ouka Leele entendía la fotografía como poesía visual, como una forma de hablar sin usar las palabras.

Her need to paint, pushes her towards the fusion of painting and photography, developing that very personal language, a mixture of theatrical scenery to be photographed and painting. In contact with other artists, she decides to abandon the idea of studying Fine Arts and to advance in her artistic search in a self-taught way.

A multifaceted artist, during her career she took on constant challenges for her creations, using resources from all artistic disciplines such as painting, drawing, photography, scenography, performance, film and video, and even literary, such as poetry and storytelling. Ouka Leele understood photography as visual poetry, as a way of speaking without using words.
